and then the next 2560 bytes are send from ServerA to ClientB. Server sends 1 packet and then waits for the Client (MacOS). Update: Quick look at tcpdump while MacOS is reading from server via sshfs: Looks like the Server sends just 2560 bytes every 20-60ms. Read/write from MacOS to any sshfs share on my local network is fast (20MB/sec). I must have tried all options that anyone anywhere mentioned and I never get it above 0.2MB/sec on reads on MacOS. I tried two separate test files but that made no difference.
Test done with "dd bs=1k if=dumpr.dat of=/dev/null". Same sshfs parameters but using Ubuntu in a VirtualBox running on the same MacOS workstation gives 5.7MB/sec.
OS X FUSE SSHFS DOWNLOAD
Sftp download is fast at around 6.0MB/sec. Sshfs read-operations are slow at around 0.2MB/sec. ( There is no FUSE 3 for OS X, FUSE library version: 2.9.9 for macFUSE macFUSE 4.0.4 )įrom my MacOS workstation to server: 20-40ms latency. The latest version on the will not work for mac.
OS X FUSE SSHFS FOR MAC
The latest version for mac is 2.9, and the latest version can be found on the page : And if you don´t use a mac you would not be on the page in the first place. Well, this is not correct if you use a mac. "The latest version and more information can be found on " I also find that the text on the page is misleading. Would it be possible to have 2.9 as the latest release ?
I did the following changes to the sshfs.c Why is it that version 2.5.0 is listed as the latest release ? Tormods-MacBook-Pro:~ tormod$ sshfs -version Last login: Mon Jan 25 09:37:58 on console I am now running SSHFS version 2.9 on macOS Mojave 10.14.6 I have compiled sshfs for osxfuse ( now macFUSE )
